Visit one of our favorite spots and hidden gems of the island.
Located in the Megalochori area, the ‘Heart of Santorini’ is a spot for unique and romantic pictures. Saint Nikolas chapel is just below, offering you an amazing view of the cliffs and the volcano.
Head to the south part of the island and the lighthouse of Akrotiri, one of the oldest lighthouses in Greece built in 1892. This is the perfect spot to relish the endless blue of the Aegean sea.
One of the most unique beaches you have ever seen is also located in the south part of the island.
The Red Beach is surely a place that you don’t want to miss while you are here. Take some pictures of this unique beach and admire the volcanic landscape.
After the Red beach, it’s time for a black beach!
Perivolos black sandy beach is probably the best beach on the island and the one that locals prefer to go to.
This is the perfect place to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear water of the Aegean sea.
Many beach bars are also located in this area, so maybe you can rent sunbeds to chill out or have lunch by the sea. For those who want a little bit more action, water sports are also available in this area.
Then, head up to Prophet Elias monastery, the highest point of the island.
From this vantage point, you can admire an exclusive view of the entire island and those around and take striking photographs.
Enjoy the tranquility of the Monastery that was built in 1711, admire the view and taste local products made by the monks.
Stop at Pyrgos village, the old capital of Santorini.
Offering panoramic views of both sides of the island, Pyrgos is probably the most beautiful traditional village of the island.
The traditional houses and paths are built around the old castle combining Cycladic and Venetian architecture.
Wander in the paths like you are in a maze and maybe take some pictures with the cute donkeys.
Finally, visit Santo winery, the biggest winery of the island located on the west side. Words cannot describe the stunning view from this winery.
